This week I interviewed Dr. Troy Hall, an award-winning culture strategist, radio show host,
speaker, author, and talent retention expert.
With more than 40 years of practical leadership experience and a Ph.D. in Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship, Dr. Troy's passion is helping others succeed.
"My career has always been about working with leaders and developing people. Today, I run a consulting and executives coaching business that guides leaders to retain their top talent. We help them infuse cohesion into their culture to create a safe workspace."
Dr. Troy explains that infusing cohesion into a culture creates belonging, value, and shared
mutual commitment. The belonging aspect requires you to have inclusion, and that cements it. "The number one reason people leave an organization is the disconnect with their supervisor. People tend to quit people instead of quitting organizations - it's that lack of relationship." Most organizations think people leave for money, but a study conducted by MIT found that on a scale from 1-20, money was 16. "Culture is built in how you treat people, not the treats you give them."
