"The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything." – Warren Buffet
I recently came across Andrej Mikula’s article on Warren Buffet’s Two Lists Strategy. Buffett was advising his pilot, Mike Flint, to jot down 25 career goals. He then asked Flint to select his top 5. When Flint said he would still work on the remaining 20 goals, Buffet corrected him saying “The top 5 were his focus, and the rest became his “avoid at all costs” list—distractions that would take time away from what truly mattered.”
Remember a few weeks ago when I wrote about creating a to-don’t list, or as Buffet says, “avoid at all costs” list? How has your level of productivity changed? Maybe it is time switch focus and refine your to-do list. Pick 5 things to maximize your focus on. In a few weeks, come back and see where you are.
