Before I start this post, I want to clarify that this IS NOT an April Fools Day Joke. For those of you who know me well, every day is Prank Day, so I like to be serious on April Fools Day.
So I have a question for you today. What Could Bring Your Business to its Knees? Think about it – almost every business has some scenarios that could bring it to its knees.
It's a relatively easy question to answer but not an easy one to do something about.
To solve this issue, you probably need to make a significant investment or diversify somehow.
It’s an issue worthy of serious consideration.
Everyone should be thinking about this right now. Just take a quick look at supply chain management issues and that should scare you enough to put some serious thought into critical functions.
I call it a "single point of failure". That is a part of a system that, if it fails, will stop the entire system from working. In the context of a business, it can be a number of things (an employee, a supplier, a huge client or contract, a license or certification...). Not my clients' favorite thought exercise, I can tell you that.
